August 8 - GAC Pindar has secured a three-year contract extension with the global Extreme Sailing Series to manage the worldwide shipping of the series' boats, equipment and support materials.
During the 2013 series, GAC Pindar transported valuable racing cargo by road, sea and air, covering over 23,000 miles (37,014 km) in total.
Andy Tourell, project director for Extreme Sailing Series, explained that the series is a "complex logistics puzzle" that requires time sensitive deliveries running to schedule.
In 2015 the series will traverse three continents with eight host venues, starting in Singapore from February 5-8.
