July 6 - Express Global Logistics, India (EXG) has transported 18,450 freight tonnes of project cargo for a power project in the USA, writes Isabel Freedman.
The freight was shipped from multiple countries, including China and Malaysia, and then consolidated at the ports of Ulsan, Korea and Laem Chabang, Thailand before being shipped to Norfolk, USA.
EXG also handled the transport of six drums, comprising 545 freight tonnes, which were shipped out of Shanghai. The whole project involved five different shipments from five countries, using four vessels.
A team member from EXG personally visited both Ulsan and Laem Chabang to ensure a smooth loading operation of the units. Despite technical and logistical challenges, the operation was completed safely and within the time frame.
