September 10 - Express Global Logistics (EXG) has loaded 8,094 freight tonnes of cargo from Yantai to Mongla for a power project in Bangladesh.
The consignment consisted of modules with the dimensions 26.78 m x 4.8 m x 2.81 m, weighing up to 158 tonnes. The heaviest drum weighed 115 tonnes and had the dimensions 13.39 m x 2.97 m x 3.58 m.
EXG chartered a vessel to ship the project, and managed to convince the carrier to skip the next port call after Yantai and divert directly to Mongla, in order to shorten the transit time.
An 18-axle hydraulic truck was used to transport the modules alongside the vessel at Yantai port. Once all of the cargo was loaded and secured, the vessel set sail for its final destination.
Express Global Logistics is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India.
