July 18 - Express Global Logistics (EXG) has coordinated the shipment of 14 earthmoving machines from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to Malawi.
The vehicles - which weighed a total of 143 tonnes - were shipped on flatrack containers from Matadi in the DRC to the Mozambique Port of Beira, where the units were discharged onto lowbed trailers and transported by road to Malawi.
The machines were destined for delivery to a power project developer that is working for the Malawi government.
EXG has also recently completed the delivery of 17,290 freight tonnes of project cargo from Penglai, China and Phu My in Vietnam to the US Port of Newark.
According to EXG, the consignment included 220 units, with 20 modules weighing over 200 tonnes and two oversize drums weighing 70 tonnes each. The cargo was shipped to the USA on board the multipurpose vessel Pacific Harmony.
EXG is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for India.
