August 30 - Euroports Group has named Olivier van Noort as group operations support director, effective September 1, 2013.
Noort will be responsible for the group's IT, QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment), Process Excellence (PEX), Asset Optimisation, and Procurement functions worldwide, and becomes a member of the Euroports Group Executive Committee.
He brings plenty of port operations experience with him and during his career has fulfilled several management roles with Peterson Logistics, BHP Billiton and Impala (Trafigura) in Europe and Australia.
Charles Menkhorst, Euroports Group ceo states: "His experience will play a critical role in our continuous efforts to drive operations excellence, to develop and implement the IT strategy for the group, to find synergies, and to enhance the safety performance across the group."
Meanwhile. effective September 2, Bart Dewolf will join Euroports Benelux and France as operations support director, replacing Filip Persyn who left Euroports in July 2013.
Dewolf will become a part of Euroports Benelux and France Executive Committee and will assume responsibility for the organisation's Engineering, IT, Projects and QHSE (Quality, Health & Safety and Environment) Divisions, supporting the company's terminal operations and transport services in the different locations in the Benelux and France.
He joins Euroports after a career including Operations and QHSE positions at APM Terminals, Pfizer and Volvo Cars Ghent.
