December 22 - Erhardt Proyectos has coordinated the delivery of a 255-tonne ABB transformer, as well as some additional breakbulk cargo, from Spain to the USA.
The transformer was loaded on Combi Lift's EIT Paloma at the Spanish river port of Seville using the ship's two 350-tonne capacity cranes.
The cargo was shipped to Newark, New Jersey, where it was discharged onto Donjon Marine's crane barge Columbia NY for shipment up the Hudson river.
On arrival at the quay, the derrick crane was used to discharge the transformer on to a truck for road transport to the power plant, where Erhardt positioned the unit on its final resting place using a hydraulic skidding system and rigging equipment.
