EMS Ports Agency & Stevedoring (EPAS) has taken delivery of two Liebherr LHM 420 mobile harbour cranes in Emden, Germany.
The machines, which were delivered at the end of 2017, will be used at the Nordkai terminal in Emden.
Each mobile harbour crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 124 tonnes at an outreach of up to 18 m and features Liebherr's Sycratronic assistance system.
As the machines are synchronised electronically, a single operator can control the movement of both machines, which enables both cranes to lift at maximum capacity during tandem lift operations.
According to Liebherr, while combined lifting in manual mode would restrict the capacity of the cranes to 75 percent, EPAS' cranes can handle up to 248 tonnes in tandem.
