November 30 - Icelandic carrier Eimskip has launched a shortsea feeder shipping service between the Port of Halifax, Canada and Portland, USA.
Joining the port rotation of Eimskip's Green Line service, which originates in Reykjavik, Iceland, the connection between Halifax and Portland will depart on a weekly basis.
To deliver the weekly service, Eimskip is deploying a third vessel on the Green Line rotation.
The vessels Skógafoss, Reykjafoss and Selfoss will provide full container load (FCL) and less than container load (LCL) services, with the capacity for project, breakbulk and oversized cargo.
