July 1 - Under normal circumstances, high-pressure containers used in oil and gasification projects are built in Japan and brought into the port of Duluth on a heavy lift ship.
However, in late June, a high-pressure container arrived in the port of Duluth on a barge pulled by the tug Erika Kobasic.
The container was manufactured in Bellevue, Ohio, taken by truck to Sandusky, Ohio, and then taken to Duluth on the barge.
The vessel was pulled off the barge by a special tractor at the port terminal and will be delivered to Cambridge, Minnesota, where more work will be undertaken before the unit is taken by either truck or train to Beulah, North Dakota, where it will be used in a gasification plant owned by Dakota Gasification.
