February 15 - Logistics services provider DSV has signed an agreement to acquire the entire share capital of Seatainers Group A/S.
Denmark headquartered Seatainers Group specialises in project logistics, performing complex transport projects mainly for the renewable energy industry. It also provides warehousing and logistics solutions, as well as road, air and sea freight services.
Jens Bjørn Andersen, DSV Group ceo commented: "Seatainers Group is a well run Danish company and its activities are a good match for DSV.
"By merging the project transport activities and competencies of DSV and Seatainers Group we will create a very powerful player in a market with good growth potential in the coming years," he added.
Seatainers Group currently employs 180 staff and has offices in Denmark, Australia, China, Latvia, Singapore and the USA.
The deal is subject to approval by the competition authorities.
