March 31 - In cooperation with the Santiago-based LOS INKAS group of companies, DSV Air & Sea is paving the way for expansion into the Central and South American markets.
The joint venture, branded under the name DSV-GL and starting operations on April 1st in Argentina, Chile and Peru, plans to own and operate offices in all the important LATAM countries within a two-year time frame, offering integrated forwarding and logistics services, with special emphasis on air freight, ocean freight and project forwarding.
In Chile, where both partners have their own operations - GoldenLogistics and ABX Logistics respectively - the organisations will be merged. In Peru, the joint venture will be based on the existing GoldenLogistics set-up and in Argentina, where ABX Logistics has its own operation, the joint venture will start through a new company.
