January 22 - Universal Transport has handled the multimodal delivery of two transformers from Nuremberg to a substation in Kuppendorf, Germany.
The two transformers were loaded onto a barge in Nuremberg, before being shipped via inland waterways to the harbour at Stolzenau.
The transformers, each of which weighed 261 tonnes and measured 4 m wide by 4.5 m high, were discharged from the barge using a Terex Superlift 3800 crawler crane with suspended ballast.
From Stolzenau, the cargo was transported by road on two four-axle trailers to the substation in Kuppendorf.
Universal Transport will also handle the movement of four 30-tonne radiators for the same project.
