December 17 - German trailer manufacturer Doll has secured a contract for the production of vehicles for Algerian state enterprise ENGOA (Entreprise Nationale des Grands Ouvrages d'Art).
The contract will see Doll produce four three-axle semi low loaders for ENGOA, which will be shipped to Algeria from Germany.
Upon arrival in the North African nation, the trailers will be used for bridge construction on difficult terrain, as well as the transportation of building machinery and concrete materials, with payloads of up to 70 tonnes.
Doll explained that the vehicles fully meet the requirements of ENGOA due to their hydraulically detachable goosenecks and hydraulic suspension, by means of pendulum axles for an extremely large stroke of 600 mm.
