June 10 - DHL and Airbus Defence and Space have agreed to support space robotics technology developer Astrobotic to develop its lunar payload delivery service.
As part of the agreement, DHL will become the logistics provider for Astrobotic's first mission to the moon, providing logistics services for the company's spacecraft and its customer payloads.
Airbus Defence and Space will contribute initial engineering support to Astrobotic through a memorandum of understanding, as the company advances its spacecraft design to a preliminary design review.
The so-called lunar lander - Peregrine - will carry Astrobotic's first delivery of payloads to the moon. It has a payload capacity of 265 kg.
