June 6 - At the forthcoming RORO 2014 event in London, which takes place alongside TOC CSC Europe from June 24 to 26, an overview of worldwide deep sea ro-ro trades will be presented, .
Dirk Visser, shipping consultant and managing editor of DynaLiners and Dynamar BV will present a paper, entitled Deepsea Ro/Ro Shipping - Operators, Ships & Trades.
"This publication is a unique report on two different types of ships, conventional ro-ro vessels, and vehicle carriers," said Visser. "What these have in common is that they would not be what they are without a ramp. Interestingly, while one is bound to contract, the other is in the expansion mode."
The RORO conference session will look at the main operators active in conventional ro-ro and vehicle carrier segments, including the top 10 operators.
"It would be particularly useful for managers and partners interested in ro-ro industry operations for the shortsea industry to attend this conference session, to help broaden their horizons about the deepsea industry," said Visser.
