December 16 - DB Schenker Logistics will be operational in Bern from the beginning of next year with an office that will initially specialise in global air and ocean freight forwarding.
Karl Nutzinger, member of Schenker's management board responsible for Land Transport and the European Region, said that Switzerland has always played an important role in the company's European network due to its location.
However, Schenker believes that there is further potential to expand its market position considerably, especially in land transport and logistics.
Zurich-based Schenker Schweiz has ten locations and is well integrated in DB Schenker's global network.
