April 18 - Global logistics specialist DB Schenker has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Euro-Line Panamericana - a Panamanian freight forwarder and ocean import specialist.
The newly acquired subsidiary will trade under the name Schenker (Panama) SA and will have its corporate office in Panama City, a branch office in the Colon Free Zone, and a field office at the city's airport.
DB Schenker noted that Panama is an important hub for regional distribution in Central and South America, and the subsidiary will be an important gateway for DB Schenker key accounts in both regions.
