February 10 - Dan-Czech Specialtransport has handled the delivery of three giant cryogenic storage tanks, manufactured by Chart Industries in Czech Republic, from their production facility in Decin to the Port of Hamburg.
The liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanks, which weighed 277 tonnes each, were first transported by road from the manufacturing facility to the river port of Rozbelesy.
Each tank was moved overland using two trucks and two trailers with turntables. The total dimensions of each transport combination were 75 m x 6.1 m x 7.85 m, with weights of 435.4 tonnes.
At Rozbelesy, the three tanks were loaded onto barges for shipment down the River Elbe to the Port of Hamburg, from where they will be shipped to Jamaica.
