June 8 - Hong Kong-based Dachser Far East's stake in joint venture, Dachser Taiwan has increased from 50 to 80 percent.
The joint venture was established five years ago as a 50:50 partnership between Dachser and Taiwanese logistics provider, Mutual Freight System.
Dachser Far East managing director Edoardo Podestá said that Taiwan is an important market for the company, where the company currently operates an office in Taipei.
"Holding the majority in this joint venture will not only strengthen further our market position but also allow us to offer our customers the standards we set worldwide and the network synergies we achieve through our global organisation", claims Thomas Reuter, Managing Director responsible for Air & Sea Logistics at Dachser.
