February -10- Florida-based Crowley Maritime Corporation is set to transport more than a dozen new, modular childcare buildings from the US mainland to Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico.
In early February, six modular childcare buildings were loaded in Jacksonville for a major Texas-based modular building manufacturer. Another 11 buildings are scheduled to be transported later in February. Once at Crowley's Isla Grande terminal in San Juan, they will be transported to the military base.
Each modular building is 22.5m long, 4.2m wide and 3.6m high. Once at the military base, the buildings will be connected, creating a childcare centre capable of housing approximately 200 children.
