June 18 - Florida headquartered Crowley Maritime Corporation has launched a new LCL service from Chicago connecting Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Central America.
"With LCL shipments now being handled from Chicago, Crowley can offer efficient, fast and reliable logistics services throughout the Midwest. This new service should be particularly attractive to our existing customers, non-vessel-operators; freight forwarders; and individuals who have a need to ship less than a full container load of freight at competitive rates," commented Frank Larkin, senior vice president and general manager, Crowley.
The new LCL service from the US Midwest is complements Crowley's established FCL vessel service, with regular sailings from Jacksonville, Florida and Pennsauken, New Jersey, to Puerto Rico; and to Central America from Port Everglades, Florida.
