June 14 - Cosco Shipping's multipurpose ship, Da Chang recently loaded 85,000 cu m of wind power equipment in Da Feng Port, and says it was the largest volume of such cargo ever loaded on one of its multipurpose ships with heavy lift capabilities.
Working with US forwarder, American Shipping Line, the carrier loaded wind turbine blades in five layouts over 15 m in height, which demanded significant technical input in creating the stowage plan.
Operational personnel from Cosco Shipping monitored the loading operation, whilst the line's port captain carefully instructed the ship's crew.
