January 17 - Madrid-based project forwarder Coordinadora Internacional de Cargas has moved a 170 tonne transformer from Seville to the Port of Tarragona for export from Spain.
Coordinadora was responsible for co-ordinating the loading operations at Seville, including developing the lashing plan in the forwarder's in-house engineering department.
The forwarder was founded in 1982 and the company specialises in international transport of heavy lift and large project cargoes. It is certified ISO 9001: 2008 as an international freight forwarding specialist in projects and heavylift and is registered with the International Federation of Freight Forwarders (FIATA) and is a member of the SC&RA(Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association).
Staff at Coordinadora organised the hire of mobile cranes, stevedores and ship, says Juan Madsen, Coordinadora managing director.
