June 17 - Concargo - the South Africa based road haulage, general and project cargo logistics provider - has been re-established.
HLPFI reported in March 2015 that Concargo would merge with the supply chain management and logistics company TSI Central Station. However, 13 months since the amalgamation, a statement from Concargo said that, despite similarities in core service offerings, the sophistication of the systems engineered to promote supply chain and logistics facilitation was not an ideal fit for the core business of Concargo Distribution.
Concargo said there have been no changes to its day-to-day operations; it continues to staff offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town, while providing turnkey logistics and forwarding services in South African ports as well as in Walvis Bay (Namibia) and Beira (Mozambique).
