January 31 - Bati Shipping has performed the handling of 6 units of a compressor station equipped with the gas engine, with a total weight of 150 tonnes, for the Serbian oil and gas company Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS).
The cargo was received in Tianjin, China and shipped to the port of Derince in Turkey, before being transported to Kanjiza, Serbia by road.
President of the Bati Group, Captain Caner Aydin, pointed out that Turkish ports are the gateway for the CIS and Black Sea areas, as well as the best route for east and west Europe, and Bati's aim is to use Turkish ports as a hub for many projects in 2014.
2013 was a good year for the Bati Group with regards to transit cargoes, having handled 103 shipments.
