South Africa-based ST Crane Hire has taken delivery of a Faymonville MultiMAX semi-trailer.
Sporting ST Crane Hire's trademark colour - purple - the eight-axle semi-trailer is equipped with a wooden deck floor and hydraulic double ramps, which, according to Faymonville, significantly reduce the drive-on angle for mobile cranes and other machines.
The semi-trailer also features an extendable loading deck, making it suitable for the transport of a wide range of equipment.
The trailer was purchased through the South Africa dealer, Saxeni Equipment.
Also in South Africa, CTS-East has utilised its G-MT modules from Faymonville to transport a lime cooler, used in paper manufacturing, from Richards Bay to Nelspruit, a distance of approximately 600 km.
CTS-East used the G-MT modular trailers in a 4x6 lowbed combination to transport the machine, which measured 9 m in length and had a weight of 100 tons (90.7 tonnes).
