February 13 - Clipper Projects has shipped 56 wind turbines to Musselroe Wind Park, northern Tasmania, Australia, for Vestas Wind Systems.
The V90 turbines were shipped on Clipper Makiri, Clipper Magdalena and Clipper Alba on three voyages. The turbines were transported from ports in Europe and Asia and discharged in Bell Bay, Tasmania.
"Vestas is pleased to have completed a successful project with Clipper Projects. Ocean transportation is a critical part of the wind energy supply chain, and Clipper has shown they are willing to adapt to our expectations," commented Derek Bushaw, transport director at Vestas.
