December 16 - Chipolbrok has held a naming ceremony for its new heavy lift vessel, Paderewski, in Shanghai, China, marking the completion of its four-ship newbuild programme.
Paderewski will begin operating in its frequent liner service from the Far East to Europe via America, as well as ports in India and Southeast Asia.
As a result of the completion of its newbuild programme, Chipolbrok has scrapped its older vessels Szymanowski and Wieniawski. A third ship - Jia Xing - is also scheduled to be scrapped soon.
The vessel Chong Ming has retired from the Chipolbrok fleet, while the future of three additional ships - Norwid, Yong Xing and Hong Xing - is not yet decided.
