Shipping industry analyst Zencargo said typhoons are disrupting operations at many ports across China in its latest market update.
Zencargo said that Chinese vessels have been affected by typhoons impacting operations in Ningbo, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, causing fewer vessels to berth. Berthing times have also increased in Shanghai.
Shanghai launched another mass Covid-19 testing campaign last week in nine out of the 16 districts as there has been another spike in infections. Mass testing is also underway in Guangzhou. Zencargo estimates that more than 30 cities in China are facing Covid restrictions.
