October 16 - Fairstar Heavy Transport has entered into a contract with Zhenhua Logistics Group, an operating subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Ltd., for the transport of two self-propelled hopper barges and one crane barge from Jedda
Directly after discharging the Perro Negro 3 drilling rig for Saipem, which is currently being loaded in India, Fjell will sail to Jeddah. The contract value is USD 1.4 million and the transit time is expected to be seven days.
Fairstar's CEO, Philip Adkins, comments: "The market in China offers Fairstar a new range of opportunities. Zhenhua Logistics is a well-established user of heavy transport services.
