October 10 - C.H. Robinson Project Logistics chartered an AN-124 freighter aircraft to deliver heavy oilfield equipment from Calgary, Canada to the Middle East.

Due to the time sensitive nature of the shipment, the client decided that sea freight was not suitable for this shipment. The AN-124 was selected as the most suitable aircraft for the project; the heaviest unit loaded on board the aircraft weighed 30 tonnes.

C.H. Robinson Project Logistics worked with a local engineering firm, who provided detailed information of the cargo, including drawings of the equipment. C.H. Robinson Project Logistics organised the delivery of the equipment from its fabrication site to Calgary Airport, as well as export crating, stuffing, blocking and bracing of the cargo into containers, and all export documentation.

C.H. Robinson Project Logistics is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN) representing Canada.
