June 22 - CEVA Logistics has opened an office in Myanmar's capital, Yangon, as part of its strategic expansion in the emerging markets along the Mekong river.
While CEVA has been operational in the country though a network partner for the last five years, its Yangon office will offer the full spectrum of air and ocean freight services.
According to CEVA, Myanmar presents considerable potential for growth with strong demand for both import and export services. Imports comprise mainly industrial materials for infrastructure, consumer goods and machinery, whilst exports of commodities, agricultural products and goods for the retail sector drive the outbound trade.
CEVA Logistics has locations across the world, servicing a range of industries, including air and ocean freight solutions for project and out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo.
