August 10 - CEA Project Logistics has transported a third Seahawk helicopter for the Royal Thai Navy.
While the previous two helicopters - reported by HLPFI on January 28, 2014 and April 7, 2015 - were shipped to Australia for refurbishment, this project involved the transport of a fully refurbished helicopter from Laem Chabang port to the Thai naval base at U-Tapao airport.
In Laem Chabang, CEA used its own 70-tonne capacity mobile crane to lift the cargo from its Mafi trailer onto a specialised 'air ride' trailer, ready for road transportation to U-Tapao. Due to the valuable nature of the cargo, an escort vehicle accompanied the cargo en route.
Upon arrival at the base, another of CEA's mobile cranes lifted the Seahawk from the trailer and set it down at the hangar. Other accessories, including the helicopter's blades, arrived onboard one of CEA's flatbed trailers.
