February 5 - CEA Projects has handled the transportation of 5,200 tonnes of factory parts for the Nissan Motor Company.
The parts arrived at the port of Laem Chabang, where they were unloaded onto the dock and lifted onto three different types of trailer - flat bed, low bed and multi-axle - using two of CEA's 50-tonne capacity cranes.
The cargo was secured with ratchet straps and transported to the CEA yard in Laem Chabang for storage, before being transported 82 km to the Nissan facility in Samut Prakan.
"As these parts were oversized cargo, CEA employed the services of the local highway police for a full escort to ensure the safety of all road users," explained Earl Brown, business unit manager at CEA Projects.
CEA Projects is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
