March 10 - Van der Vlist has transported two CAT 777F dump trucks from the its Zeebrugge site to the Bastenaken Terminal in Belgium for shipment to Port Hueneme in California, USA for Caterpillar Used Equipment Services International (CUESI).
The CAT 777F dump trucks, each of which weighed 73 tonnes and had the dimensions 10 m x 6.1 m x 5.1 m, were transported to the terminal using a modular vessel bridge.
The front wheels of the dump trucks had to be removed in order to reduce the height of the cargo and allow it to be transported underneath local overhead train cables.
Van der Vlist moved the cargo at night to avoid the traffic, and once the vehicle had reached the quay the wheels were reattached before it was shipped to California to be used on construction sites across the US State.
