July 22 - Luxembourg headquartered all-cargo airline Cargolux International will reinstate its weekly B747 freighter service to Santiago de Chile, as of July 28, 2013.
The Chilean capital will be added to Cargolux International's regular South American rotation on Sundays, also stopping at Viracopos in Brazil. General sales and services agent Pacific Feeder Services will market the freight capacity on the route.
Apart from general cargo, Cargolux expects to transport mainly pharmaceuticals and machinery to Chile. Outsize cargo such as mining equipment and generators, as well as fresh produce, will be flown out of the country. Cargolux regularly handles heavy and bulky items for the oil and gas and mining industries, on board its specialised nose-door loading B747 freighters.
