July 1 - Cargolux Airlines has added a weekly service to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
The service complements Cargolux's existing flights to Turkmenbashi, which now operate eight times a week. This month, Cargolux will boost its frequencies to the Central Asian country to 11 per week.
Ashgabat has invested in the development of a new airport that is scheduled to open in September and a modern cargo centre that becomes operational on July 4, said Cargolux. The city will also host the Asian Games in 2017.
Cargolux's Central Asian network also includes services to Baku, Novosibirsk, Almaty and Tbilisi.
