November 27 - New UK based all-cargo airline, CargoLogicAir, has rolled its first Boeing 747-400 freighter out of the paint shop.
The new airline's first 747-400 has been acquired through a lease agreement with Aircastle.
CargoLogicAir claims to be the UK's only maindeck freighter airline, which will offer cargo services on scheduled and charter flights. The airline says that it will serve a number of industry sectors, including automotive, aerospace, electronics, oil and gas, and perishables.
CargoLogicAir's website says that the company is "actively seeking interline agreements with other airline partners and will evaluate all opportunities that increase the range of international destinations we can offer to our customers".
The airline is in the process of receiving an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
