April 1 - Mammoet has been awarded the heavy lift and heavy haulage contract for the Cameron LNG project in Hackberry, Louisiana.

The multi-billion dollar project will consist of three natural gas liquefaction trains with approved liquefied natural gas (LNG) export capacity of 1.7 billion cu ft per day.

As part of the contract, Mammoet will be responsible for supplying over 70 cranes, ranging in capacity from 25 to 800 tonnes, along with a number of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs).

Over the course of the 42-month project, Mammoet will assist in constructing one of the largest LNG export terminals in the USA, and will use its experience gained on other LNG construction projects elsewhere in the USA, as well as in Australia and the Middle East.
