April 26 - It's been a busy start to 2011 for Jumbo Shipping in India with several massive items of OOG cargo being loaded, discharged and transported through the state of Gujarat's ports.
At Okha, four modules weighing 354 tonnes were discharged from the company's heavy lift vessel, Stellaprima. The modules had been loaded in Mussafah (Abu Dhabi) and were carried on behalf of Leighton India.
Afterwards, the vessel called at Mumbai Port to load heavy lift, and general cargo manufactured by Larson & Toubro, including a methanol converter weighing 485 tonnes to be transported to Shanghai for China Petrochemical.
Meanwhile, Jumbo's Fairplayer discharged three reactors of 1,300 tonnes (48.8 x 8.9 x 7.85 m) and two reactors of 1,600 tonnes (57.37 x 8.9 x 7.86 m) at Vadinar. Manufactured by Doosan Engineering and Construction, the reactors had been transported from Korea to Vadinar.
