June 17 - Croatia's Brodosplit Shipyard has delivered the heavy lift ship Jumbo Fairmaster to Dutch shipowner Jumbo.
The 14,000 dwt ship is 152 m long and 27 m wide, with a draft of 8.1 m.
Fairmaster is equipped with two cranes, each with maximum lift capacity of 1,500 tonnes, or jointly up to 3,000 tonnes, which is reportedly the largest cargo lifting capacity in this ship class in the world.
The ship is the second in a series of two ships built by Brodosplit Shipyard for Jumbo.
In May, Jumbo claimed that the other newbuild from Brodosplit - Jumbo Kinetic - set a new record by lifting 3,000 tonnes during a test lift at the Huisman production facility in Zhangzhou, China.
Having been ordered back in 2011, Jumbo Kinetic was finally delivered to Jumbo at the end of 2014, after disagreements between the heavy lift shipping company and Brodosplit.
HLPFI awaits advice on when both vessels will enter service.
