March 13 - A crowd of more than 4,000 attendees and 100 exhibitors filled the INTEX Shanghai Exposition Center and Sheraton Hongqiao for the inaugural Breakbulk China Transportation Conference and Exhibition recently, says the organisers.
Breakbulk and project cargo transportation industry executives discussed China's promising but challenging market during two days of Mandarin and English language panels, while customers and prospective customers - more than 75 percent from mainland China, met with exhibitors on the INTEX exhibition floor.
Conference topics ranged from China's breakbulk and project cargo market to transportation on the Yangtze River, trade and transportation in Mongolia and west through China to Kazakhstan. The Day One keynote was given by Mui-Fong Goh, partner in the A. T. Kearney's Asia Pacific transportation practice, and covered Breakbulk cargo logistics trends and development in China.
Prior to the opening of the exhibition, Breakbulk Education Day and two specialized project cargo workshops taught by Project Professional Group and Proven Logistics Solutions provided more than 250 logistics students and industry newcomers with in-depth lessons on topics including compliance, vessel stowage and modularisation.
Breakbulk China 2013 will be held at the INTEX Exposition Center, March 12-15, 2013.
