December 1 - BNSF Logistics Toronto and BNSFL's Global Project Center in Houston have coordinated the transport of multiple over-dimensional cargoes, which had arrived at the Port of Houston from China, to Beaumont, Texas.
With the largest unit weighing over 451 tonnes, BNSFL had to create an innovative transport solution, using one barge and 24 axle lines of Goldhofer PST-SLE transporters.
The facility in Texas is being developed by Natgasoline as a greenfield world-scale methanol production complex that is expected to have a capacity of up to approximately 1.75 million tonnes per year, and is expected to start production in late 2016.
BNSF Logistics Toronto and BNSFL's Global Project Center in Houston, are both members of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Canada and the USA, respectively.
