September 8 - BNSF Logistics (BNSFL) Canada has transported a rig from Alberta, Canada to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, USA.
The rig, which was manufactured for the extreme weather conditions of Alaska's North Slope, was transported as 86 truckloads to Seattle, USA for onward shipment to Alaska by barge.
"Within the truckloads, 70 percent of the shipments were seven axle heavy haul combinations," explained BNSFL Canadian managing partner, Gerald Hess.
BNSFL Canada is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC).
