September 12 - BNSF Logistics has coordinated the transport of a 440,000 lb (199-tonne) transformer from the Port of New Orleans to the FPL Levee substation in Florida.
The transformer was moved by rail from New Orleans to Miami, where it was offloaded onto a Goldhofer trailer and transported by road to the substation, before being installed on its foundation.
The delivery was coordinated by BNSF Logistics' team in Banning, California.
BNSF Logistics is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in the USA.
