August 24 - BNSF Logistics has transported four transformers by rail from the Port of Houston, Texas to Fairbanks, Indiana, USA.
The transformers measured 30.5 ft x 12.4 ft x 15.5 ft (9.29 m x 3.8 m x 4.7 m) and weighed 460,300 lbs (208.8 tonnes).
Upon arrival at the rail site, the transformers had to be staged on stools and beams, and then delivered to the site one at a time for placement on the foundations.
