January 5 - Blue Water Shipping has signed a contract to provide logistics services on a global scale to project engineering company Semco Maritime.
Blue Water and Semco have cooperated for many years on several rig and infrastructure projects. Semco operates within five business areas: oil and gas, wind power, rig projects, power projects, and products and technology.
"We have established a large international network of own offices and both companies are represented at many of the same oil and gas key locations worldwide," said Thomas Bek, global head of oil, energy and industrial projects at Blue Water. "This gives Semco the opportunity of being close to our regional experts who have great knowledge of the local conditions."
Blue Water adds that another factor of the contract is the company's ability to provide flexible IT solutions, which can be integrated with Semco's technology.
