October 8 - Blue Water Gothenburg has handled the transportation of two 58-tonne units for Finnish stainless steel company Outokumpu.
"We were responsible for planning the route and had to obtain the permits necessary for transporting two 58-tonne units through the streets," explained Johanna Hagström from Blue Water Gothenburg.
"We also did a road survey before the transport to ensure that it was possible to transport the 7 m wide components safely to their destination," she added.
Despite disruptive work along the 430 km route from Walhamn to Avesta, Blue Water said that the cargo arrived safely at the site.
