October 14 - Blue Water Shipping and Lind
The two bridge spans, which are both 25 m wide and 100 m long with 20 m high pylons, arrived by ship from China at the Odense Port terminal.
From here, four Kamag transport vehicles from the Lindø Industrial Park will move the bridge spans to the quay for preparation works, before they are shipped to Odense Canal by barge.
Blue Water Shipping worked closely with MT Højgaard, the main contractor on the construction of the bridge, to plan the logistics for the handling of the bridge spans.
The four-lane bridge, owned by Odense Municipality, will be the largest double swing bridge in Northern Europe.
