June 1 - Blue Water Shipping has signed a contract with Semco Maritime for the provision of warehouse and transport solutions in connection with the construction of a new power plant in Panama.
The shipments for Panama will originate in several locations worldwide, but the majority of the cargo will come from France, explained Blue Water.
Blue Water Marseilles will coordinate the shipments out of France and will arrange for line item check, export packing, and ocean freight to Panama, amongst other things.
The new power plant will harness methane gas from a landfill site for energy, and is the second of its kind for Semco Maritime in Central America.
HLPFI reported in January 2015 that Blue Water Shipping had signed a large contract with Semco Maritime to provide logistics services on a global scale.
